Technical: Need help on installing d2 with various cd's der=0>

I recently decided to play d2 again, but i can't seem to find my d2 play disc, but i have everything else. My friend offered to gove me his play disc, will that work? Is it true that all u need is a unique expansion and unique install disc for cd-keys, but u can share play and cinematic disks?

also to install d2, do u really need a cinematic disc, or can u just press next? My cinematic disk is at my unle's and i can't be bothered going 30 k's

Once you install the expansion you wont need the original diablo 2 cds. As long as you use unique cd-keys for both everything will work fine. As for cinematics, you can op to not install them. While in-game it will ask for them between acts, just push cancel to continue.

If you play windowed, no movies are played. I don't know if it will ask for the cinematics disk though.

To play LOD battlenet, do u only need a unique cd-key for LOD? Or a unique one for both the D2 and LOD?

I just found my cd-key is being used grrr, i gavce it to my friend b4 dammit

So i ordered a LOD just now, what ya guys think?

You need both. But the CD's from which you install don't matter.
