Some questions, about Grief and IMPS

The first question is about grief runeword.
one of its stat is +340-400 damage, but I don't know where does the damage add to?
It seems not adding to the basic damage of the weapon.
And how come ppl said the damage is a huge amount??

    The second question is:
    What is IMPS??
I always see it in games called "IMPS for sth" or "sth for IMPS", but then what is it?

    Thanks for your answer.

The +Damage granted by Grief is the same as +Min and +Max (but both with the same number). For example, if you get a +350 damage grief, then the weapon you put it in will have +350 to min and +350 to max damage for purposes of calculating the weapons damage.

There's a problem with this though, in that the character screen won't list the correct damage.

Also, as far as I know, when people talk about Imps, they're talking about Imp shenks, a heavily duped pair of boots. I don't know the stats off the top of my head though.

95% of the time I'm right, so why worry about the other 2%?

Here are the mods for Imp Shanks. It's not exact, but it's basically this:

    30% FRW
    20% FHR
    +18 Str
    Triple resists (forgot which ones)
