um... stuck in act III

Hi people. i'm trapped in NIghtmare act III. the "Tome" quest never came up, i killed mephisto, and there is no way out. talked to everyone around town, nobody can help. Can someone help me get out of this nightmare >?!?!?

To complete the Tome quest, you just need to get the Tome.

Go to the Kurast Bazaar and clear the two temples - one of them will have the tome. Just beware Battlemaid Serena and her pack!

I didn't realize you needed to complete this quest to leave act three. After killing Meph you just walk out to the portal, right? :scratch:

The Tome quest is not required to leave act 3. You have to exit through the red portal that opens after Meph dies. If you quit before you do that, I think you have to kill Meph again.

Btw the Tome is ALWAYS in the "Ruined Temple" in Kurast Bazaar. There's no need to guess.

If you also can't find the person to speak to to leave act 3, you need to speak to the king (prince?) guy in/near the palace, then the guy by the docks (south-east-east).

That's act 2.

To leave act 3 you just need to kill Meph and go through the red portal that opens on the island in the middle of the moat.

If you fail to enter the portal before saving and exitig, you will have to kill meph again to get access to act 4.

The ruined temple is ALWAYS the one of the two temples in kurast bazaar with the entrance facing north-west so you don't even have to enter to see which one is which.

If you "fail to enter before saving and exiting" you don't even have to kill meph again, you only need to go down there again and enter the portal.
