    Monster question

    Any monsters with a lightning resists of > 116?

    If not that means a lightning sorceress can solo hell with an infinity merc.

    You are forgetting that mercs do physical damage, so the only problem are the hard-LI/PI combos. Which aren't that much of a problem, since you can always teleport past them.

    Yes, and that's excluding uniques with LE or Magic Resistant.

    Hell Steel Scarab - 105% LR (Act 5)
    Hell Death Beetle - 105% LR
    Hell Jungle Hunter - 105% LR
    Hell Doom Ape - 105%
    Hell Bone Mage - 105% LR
    Hell Tainted - 105% LR
    Hell Hungry Dead - 110% LR
    Hell Burning Soul - 110% LR
    Hell Scarab - 110% LR
    Hell Fiend - 110% LR
    Hell Temple Guard - 110% LR
    Hell Dark Archer - 110% LR
    Hell Dark Lancer - 110% LR
    Hell Burning Dead Mage- 110% LR
    Hell Night Clan - 110% LR
    Hell Misshapen - 110% LR
    Hell Soul Killer - 110% LR
    Hell Black Lancer - 115% LR
    Hell Black Archer - 115% LR
    Hell Horror Mage - 115% LR
    Hell Disfigured - 115% LR
    Hell Steel Scarab - 115% LR (Act 2)

    Over 116% Lightning Resist
    Hell Bone Scarab - 120% LR
    Hell Dark Familiar - 120% LR

    That's only four monsters I have to worry about, excluding Magic resistant / Lightning enchanted uniques. But for all the 100% Lightning resist immunes does conviction still work at 1/5 effectiveness? Meaning they will have 83% resists instead of 15% resists? Also for these 115% LR they will still have 98% lightning resists which is still hella hard to kill :(

    Don't forget that "quest monsters" in Act V have different resistances than in their normal area. For lightning immunes, it's usually lower. (For example, I know I can break Burning Souls and Scarabs with Lower Resist charges in WSK, but not in their original areas)

    EDIT- For killing the LI, it's good to have lightning facets and Griffon's Eye after their immunity is broken.

    Yes I included Steel Scarab from both Act 2 and Act 5, not Burning Soul though since it has 100% Light resist in Act 5.

    Also Pandemonium Event Monsters:

    Pand. Pit Lord - 145% LR
    Uber Mephisto - 110% LR

    Do you think -25% LR Griffons > Shako ?

    It's tough to say. I do MF runs only, so I use Shako on almost all my characters
