Unique Charm

Has anyone ever heard of this happening before, checked around and apparently this charm is a Ladder only charm, but i just found one on my Sorc in single player..

Keep In Inventory to Gain Bonuses
Required lvl: 62
144% Extra Gold From Monsters
Reduces all Vendor Prices 15%
23% Better Chance of Finding Magic Items

I was excited, didnt even know it existed.

It can spawn in SP. The term 'Ladder-only' is misleading. The cube-recipes and other elite uniques that are indicated as 'Ladder-only' are present in SP.

The Annihilus charm though can't spawn in SP, since the Uberdiablo/Diablo clone can't spawn in SP. :mad: Darned Blizzard.

So I assume these 'Ladder-Only' Items are extremely rare then because I dont think I've ever found one until now

There are quite a few items that Bliz added for the ladder but kept off the regular battlenet servers. See... on the regular servers you can buy a Zod rune for about $4. How can this be? People cheat. It's really that simple. So they didn't add the new stuff for these cheaters to exploit. But SP people got them... all but the annilus charm as previously stated.

Then they added new runewords to the ladder and kept them out of SP. That was ok, because the new runewords were significantly out of balance with the old ones, and we didn't care to see them in the game.

Then 1.11 came and a significant end game was added and SP was excluded from it entirely, and on purpose. We're still steaming a bit from that choice.

So now there are a bunch of rune words, and two unique charms that are off limits to vanilla SP. We have access to everything else though. Though I do wish they'd move Cain close to the stash in act V like they did on B.net.

Not really. Run the right monsters (Hell Meph, Hell Pindleskin, Hell Baal, etc.) and you can get a decent amount.

They are rare because the ones marked 'Ladder-only' incidentally are also usually the ones that have high base TC (treasure class), so usually only the higher level monsters can drop them.

Hah thats awesome that the higher level monsters are supposed to drop it, I found the Charm off a Burning Archer in Hell Bloody Foothills

They must be able to spawn I have found 2 in the last few days.
