i read some where that u can perm runes by selling to a npc then buying back is this true? im sure this has been answered many time but for some reason i cant use search for the fourms. thanks for your help in advance!
I don't think that will work. And imagine not having the gold to buy back the runes.. I saw a screenshot somewhere of jah costing 1120120101 gold.Originally Posted by EckoKc

Many people will tell you that dupes and runes can be "permed." They cannot. The only possibility is by "cubing" the runes.
I assume you, like many of us are afraid to admit, purchased items with real money.
I bought 40 S()Js once for 16 dollars. Split the money with a friend and got rich quick. Traded them in all 4 soj games, and got stuff worth a number of high in one trade. Perfect dracs, ebotdz for a few... it was great.
I love stores sellign things, but perming is crap.
My suggestion - Don't buy what you don't plan on using right away. I kept my extra unsafe runes on a mule, and ONLY took them off when he was going to trade. Never was he in a game otherwise.
Socketing with a duped rune will not save a rune
Runewords will not save a duped rune
Cubing will NOT save a duped rune
Um, are you sure?
EBOTDZ would dissapear like crazy...
yes, he is correct. My friend's jah in his enigma dissappeared on him in season 2 so his dusk shroud just became "ithber."Originally Posted by Punkonjunk

This last is not known about cubing. No one has been able to make a convincing arguement as to why they can't be 'permed' by such a method. No one seems to know how "ruststorm" works. We just don't know. Best not to risk a trade and expect to "perm" runes.
There is no real answer to that. Your friend may have lost his Enigma, but what about the other hundreds of people using very VERY old ebotds or CoHs or Enigmas? Those are still fine, and I'm quite sure Ruststorm tries to be very thorough when it looks for dupes. Sometimes they poof, sometimes they don't. And sometimes they seem to be invincible to ruststorm.
