Does the US have too many guns?

After listening to some of the hollywood celebs, it sounds like they're saying "see that's what you get with all of 'em people having guns in a time like this"...

Would you say that NO crisis isn't a unique situation and that in 'any time' 'any place' in a time of crisis, people likely grab their guns and take to the streets packing heat?

The State already approved the purchase of 'the lower' receiver, the part that holds the trigger housing and the serial #'s. I just have to assemble the lower with the above kit and voila. Now all I need is a grenade launcher which is illegal in my state. :( You can never be adequately armed during apocalypse.

Yup. Anywhere that people would tend towards lawlessness, and the National Guard isn't already on the street, I'd want my weapons {whimper - they're in Idaho}. If you trust the Gov't to protect you, well...

There are too many guns in the hands of ordinary citizens of Afghanistan, Somalia, and Iraq. Call me back when anyone other than the IRA and the Crips have light anti-tank weapons and maybe I'll be a little more concerned.

They said those gangs that walked the streets, had stolen most of the guns in local gun shops and such. So of course the man who get his gun in a normal manner, gets placed in the same boat with thugs.....as figured.

But to answer the original question...no, US doesnt have to many...and not nearly enough in my eyes. More "good" people need guns.

There are plenty of countries with more guns. Lots of guns isn't the problem it's idiots using them. If people were competent and not a bunch of thieves, wannabe thugs, etc then we wouldn't even have them. We need them to ward off dumbasses.

Since when are Hollywood celebs experts? To me they are rich idiots sticking thier noses in where they don't belong.

If fair fights and duelling were legal again, we wouldn't have the clogged up court system we have now. Plus, there would be a lot less lawyers.
