Hi All,
Very Sad
On CCN this morning they stated that the final death toll is expected to top a 1000.
Basically 10 of 1000's of pilgrims were crossing a bridge in Bagdad to reach a mosque, when some callous person yelled "Suicide Bomber" ... causing everyone to panic, leading to many hundreds being trampled to death, predominantly women and children, while others fell into the river and drowned.
It really makes you wonder about some people (the person who yelled) and what makes them tick ?
Could it have been a joke ... that went bad ?
Was it intentional in the hopes of causing panic and death ?
Either way, yet another blow for the Iraqi people.
Regards

Was it sure that there was no Suicide Bomber? or maybe the person who yelled it believed he saw one? I don't think we'll ever know.Originally Posted by Syxx

I dindn't exactly thought that but I felt that way and when I heard that it was in Iraq, I felt that the situation there would become back to normal within some time because of the "western" reaction of the prime minister.
Is that a strange reaction?
Anyway, it's horrible what happend.

There's a timeline/list of this sort of thing happening; if I find it again I'll post it.
This is revolutionary. Instead of suicide bombings, the new strategy will be to fill crowds with panic and watch them kill their own selves.
The reports Ive seen this morning talked about Al-Qaida people spreading the word of a suicide bomber. And also that some people were seen drinking out of bottles someone handed out, and collapsing, out of poisoning.
But I havent really read a lot into it, could be mistaken.
Another sad event in Iraq ...
yes..i was actually in school watching it on the news..
Sounds like a new kind of terrorist tactic that plays off the fear that the terrorists and the governments have created.
