hey im interested in making a pure blizzard MFer! I got some stuff for her, like Shako, skullders, rhyme (65%block), war trav and occy. I got a few uncertainies, like whether i should go for highblock or pure vit. Another thing i wanna ask is which runs to run, meph? pindle? pits? what about cold immunes?!? Anyone with experience plz help me out... i dont wanna waste time oO"

This depends on what shield you use. If you use a high blocking shield for MFing, it might be worth it to get max block. However, if your shield of choice has a low blocking chance, forget about getting max block.

Blizzard really tears Meph and Andy apart. Pindle (when he doesn't spawn as cold immune) also falls quickly to Blizzard. I wouldn't do Pits with a pure Blizzard sorc as there are cold immunes there. However, the Ancient Tunnels (in Act 2, Lost City) has the same area level as the Pits and there are no cold immunes there. Hope this helps.

Take the WP to Lost City in Act 2. Teleport around until you find the Ancient Tunnels (the entrance is a trap door).

meph is the best for blizz but you already have the basic eq, so all he'll give you is more of it.

you can do more meph runs to stock up on more eq, then try a specialized build for baalruns.

What if you were going for say..Spirit Monarch? Would it be worth going for max block, considering you have to put a hefty amount into str anyway?

STR doesn't do anything for block. DEX does that. Forget max block if you go for a Spirit monarch. It has a poor block rate, the amount of DEX you'd need for max block with one of those would preclude spending anything in VIT or NRG.

I know, but the str requirement for the monarch itself is quite high, thats what i meant :P

Is spirit a good shield to be using for a blizz sorc? Whats the best options?

Heh, sorry. I wasn't really sure of your meaning. I think there's only a few options if a sorc wants to use the shield slot for casting/skill support rather than blocking, and they are: Lidless, Splendor and Spirit. Spirit blows the other 2 away pretty handily.

Fantastic Monarch is one of the few (if only) shield that can hold 4 sockets, so I'm assuming thats the reason why everyone uses it to make spirit? <- yep I just looked up Lowest str req

I guess I'll be getting a spirit for my sorcie ^^ I'm going for the skills so I can maintain MF in my other slots, I'll probably go vit but block is a very good path I hear and it can save a lotta lives, thats why I'm still not certain...
