Depends on the situation.
Do you duel a lot in 1.10? Things have changed a lot. Grizzly's no longer ITD. They do still knockback, but that doesn't mean it's smiting. Most situations, spirit (never dire) wolves are much better than a bear (I actually can't think of a situation where bear is better, but there may be one or two).
