Monsters out of character

I just had a weird experience in nightmare act 5

when walking up the bloody foothills, all the monsters were burning archers and thorned hunks.
i restarted and tried again, with the same result.
anyone here have any idea what the problem might be?

You can get random monsters spawn in act 5...

burning archers, from act 2
spearwomen from act 1
those umberhulk things from act 3

just a few of the ones i've seen

Relax, it's no glitch or flaw, your game is fine.

You'll continue to see these "Guest Monsters" throughout all of act 5.

For the record, it was introduced in Patch 1.10. So if you've only recently re-joined us in this game, it'll be new

Just wait until you hit the caves and start seeing spear cats and leapers
