While Pindling for the MFO, my thoughts wandered to the question of building chars using the set items as not many people do that, and it will be challenging.

Okay, now comes the questions,
1) What build best suits this set. I am thinking of a barb, either a WWer / Berserker / Conc .
2) Should I go WW, the weapon, will be able to hit the last bp for WW if I shael it. Would it be more effective if I put a ed j00l in it and use it at the 2nd last bp?
Thanks for any opinions in advance. :-/
You'll be crying for damage, once you get half-way through NM, with that weapon![]()
Really, don't. Not a barb. A mauler perhaps? With some Fire Claws maybe as a side kick.. or main killer.
If you really want to make a WW'er, take dual Butcher's Pupils, shael 'em, and watch those monsters take the beating they deserve![]()
Umm... the problem is that the damage is really low... Hmm, you could make an Enchantress out of it perhaps. Max Enchant, Warmth, FM and Glacial Spike.
I'd make a whirler. Put on goblin toe and you've got 25% CB at least. Even if the damage of your weapon itself is kinda lowish you will be able to get by with that. You can definetly get a char to guardian with that, even if it's not the best set around. Actually it might be half decent if you whirl through stuff and the ctc static goes off. I say give it a shot.
Lol, just a thought... a Beserker has 0 defense, which might go well with your ctc static. I don't know what kind of zerk damage you could get though.
I used Hwanin's on a Werebear back in 1.09... I kept running into problems with the % to Cast triggers that locked my game up, so I left him around mid Nightmare. All that should have been fixed with 1.10, though. There are some good mods in the set, but I agree, you'll be hurting for damage. Crushing blow sounds like something to aim for
I, too, like using sets on characters, even the crappy ones. There's something cool about them that I really enjoy.
I'd go for a whirler or a FireBear. Good luck!
I second that Enchantress idea. Sorceresses are quick with polearms. A sorceress would never have a worse attack speed than 12 frames with this set. That´s pretty cool.
Just a random idea
No clue what speed this weapon would make on a zealot, but you could even socket another shael/ias jewel in there for extra speediness.
May end up being pretty decent, if you add any elemental aura, although missing out on fanatism will reduce the attackspeed.
A cool plan though, two handed holy fire/freeze/shock aura paladin.
Gouda
edit: german attack speed calc. gives 6 fpa for lvl 20 fanatism, 7 fpa without fanatism. And an extra 50% IAS needed to get to 6 FPA without zeal.
That's a shael in the weapon, and 30% from equipment. Quite doable, with gloves, ammy and possible sockets available.
Fireclawer with not so good attack speed.
I vote for a Zealot of some type. If not a fanatic zealot, then something that can up your damage with elemental skills such as a Frost or Shock Zealot.
Also the CtC Static Field is uber on the armor if you don't have huge defense.
