Hi. Welcome to the PvP firebomb necro guide.

What the hell is a firebomb necro?
A necro that kills by spamming fire golem on top of players. When fire golem dies he deals 100 physical damage and 100 fire damage.

This is definately not cookie cutter and it is very fun.

It also requires no skill to play and is invincible. Although it is not actually a dueler, it can kill people.

Firstly, you will make all your kills from standing in town. Although this is very BM and n00bish it is very fun, and after getting frustrated from being nked on another character, you can always just go onto this character to release your frustration.

I reccommend you make this a dueler for normal or nm (lvl 30-40ish) because in hell you wont be able to kill as effectively or as fast.

STATS:
strength-enough for gear. I suggest 60 because that it what you need for using frostburn
dex-enough for shard (51)
vit-none. You are invincible. No need for points here.
energy- everything. Fire golem takes a lot of mana and in order to spam you need a large mana pool.



Skills:

Fire golem: 1 point. We want this to be as low lvl as possible because the blast dmg does not increase per lvl and its mana cost does. Your only damaging attack.

lower resist: enough to get it to -60% enemies resists
amp damage: enough points so its duration and radius are decent

The rest of your skill points go wherever you feel like.


Gear: we want as much mana as we want. + skills are not desired. We also want 80 fcr for maximum speed firebombing.

I suggest you use

frostburn
2X sojs OR 2X +60 mana rings if your poor or just dont wanna waste sojs on such a n00bish build
eyeless
shard
fcr + mana ammy (dont worry about resists and + skills)

The rest of your gear it doesnt matter what you use. I guess go with lots of r/w to manuever in town better.


DUELING STRATEGIES

There arent really any. Hostile everyone and run out of town quickly to lower resist them from blood moor.

Spam firegolem on top of them repetedly till they die or run to town. Win.

Against opponents with stacked fire resist use amplify damage to take advantage of golems 100 physical damage on death.

I suggest lower resist over amplify dmg because elemntal damage has a 1/6 penalty in pvp as opposed to physicals 1/10.






This is the end of the Pvp firebomb guide. For those of your who dont realise this is a joke, realise now. But seriously, this necro can kill norm and nm opponents in duel games easily. I would have to say this is the most BM pvper you can make, next to the griz bear summoner who summons from town. (xpac only)

hm... correct me if i'm wrong but I thought that blizz changed that fire golem explosion trick by lowering the damage by a lot in 1.10 didn't they?

First off, i have never experienced lag by spamming firegolem, its probably just your crappy dial up. Second, this character CAN KILL people while standing in town, even by akara. Yes i realise it is BM, unacceptable to most, but what are they gonna do about it.

third, you have a very negative view on everything it seems. You are close minded and flame anyone who is just having fun or trying something new. I have played "regular" classic d2, wasting my life in trade games, spending days getting to high lvls with a boring hammerdin///orb sorc/// cookie cutter characters, and now i just play for fun.

I still have my d2 knowlege and find new ways to have fun, before i quit this game entirely. I have been playing for 5 years and am still fairly into it, which is suprising to me.
