another Anya reward that falls way below expectations is the item customization reward. you spend a hell of a time dodging CE blasts from a crazed elder and you get this for a reward? :rolleyes:

Not only that, but she won't customize it properly, in many cases. Remember back in v1.09, when 'The Oculus' was the sorcy dream weapon? Personalize that, and you get "Nooblar's The Oculus" or whatever.

I have some of my end-game equipment planned, and while I'd like to personalize it, somehow I think "Raeli's Ormus's Robes" (they're mine now, dammit!) and "Raeli's Mang-Song's Lesson" would be a bit on the cheesy side.

I recall way back in v1.09 trying to personalize my Raven Frost ring, as it was one of the few things that a) would stay with the character indefinitely, and b) didn't have some silly name that wouldn't work with the personalization. Imagine my disappointment when I found Anya refused to fulfill her promise! She can 'inscribe' cloth, as well as metal that's too hard to damage (she'll happily inscribe your indestructable gear), but she can't put an inscription on a friggin' ring? Jeez.

See, this is exactly what we're talking about. I've made three trappers, none with Str or Dex above 77. Why couldn't she have Larzuk put those great mods on a katar?

Since I play untwinked, I get usable stuff quite often - my current sorc got a pretty nice orb in norm. If I do keep it, I use the personalization quest as well. Later if I sell it, I usually make a specal trip back to Anya - seems only fair.

Heh. I didn't think about that last week. So now I have a very spiffy "Pecos' Arioc's Needle" :lol:
