Let's get down to business:
Adding hard points to HBeachBabe's "nose picking" will increase the radius, duration and efficiency per pick.
This will lead to a smaller chance of a bloody nose.
Points well spent I would say.
No brainer.
is that the radius of the things being picked? if so, they are well spent points!
since this is a fishymancer thread, i thought i would point out a thought of mine about the build
first of all, this is a great build. i've already thanked NF for it...only reading the guide convinced me to build a fishy of my own
playing with Skinned (thats his name) all the way to hell pindle, i realised that max block is not a must for this build.
i have never got swarmed and i barely get hit by ranged or melee weapons! even those pesky archers and slingers can be tamed with a single cast of attract! champions and bosses can present some difficulties now and then, but they are negligeable.
but then again...is it worth spending the points you save from dex into vita? you only get 2 points of life per point of vita...
im sure this is a pretty common topic of discussion and a much debated one...and i also know that its a matter of personal choice and preference whether you go max block or vita
but with such great crowd control spells and a huge army for support, i'd say that this shoud be a vita build
this isnt my case though, as i already have max block on Skinned and about 800 life in full mf gear![]()
honestly if you are not getting hit you don't "need" either life or block. I don't have max block (yet) and sport only 750 life, and don't remember dying in hell for a very long time. So it is not like a big issue. If you are the pit runner type, block is nice due to the archer density, though they barely get through the wall of skellies. Vita is nice against gloams. All in all, this is a very forgiving build so don't be too concerned about spending your points either way.
Blocking is invaribaly better than another 200 life. As you said, it's just 2 points of life per point of vit. That's one of the main reasons all my casters use blocking, because the price they pay is smaller than it would be on a barb for example. He loses 4 points of life per point in dex, 8 if you count BO, in contrast to the measily 2 points my sorcs / necros pay.
True, you can make do even if you do not spend the stat points at all but if you have to chose one, blocking is better. Reason being that elemental attacks are no issue and against physical attacks blocking owns a bit of extra life hardcore. What can get dangerous to you is a combination of extra strong, cursed and auras.
If you're gonna use a shield at all, imo you should always go for blocking. Though in my opinion there are few builds that actually need a shield or that couldn't be better off without one. This however is one of the builds that does not benefit at all from using a 2h weapon hence it's shield + blocking for this one.
yeah, you're both right Artagas and Nf
im stuck with blocking anyway, and it works fine when it's the case
i guess this build is just too good to be true, almost "annoying good"
there's a saying in my country, roughly translated into "tired of too much happiness"

I'm glad you like itThough there are dozens of fun builds around. I've got more than one that I like as much if not more than the necro.
When I used to play on Battle.net (ladder, HC) I added Bone Armor (well, 1 point in it, then synergies, since synergies add more than the skill itself). Bone Armor is great for extra safety which is key in HC - it saved my *** more than once.
