Don't waste the rune, wait for perfect WWS, you BIG MISS N00B
Just blame Durf
If you don't want to dupe, I'm pretty sure you can collect all the parts, make the flail but don't use it, mule it off and collect the parts again.
Or in MP go to a different act while the other play smash the orb.
I also voted for the flail. And avoiding duping is easy enough... I simply collected all the seperate parts with a char, made the flail and muled it off. Once a twinked char with the flail gets to act 3, I simply mule it back to the starter stash again and replace it with a better weapon. By the time you get to act 3 you really should be of a high enough level to equip something better then Khalims flail anyways!![]()
Me neither. In fact, I had no idea what was so great about it until recently while getting a spear barb through normal in classic 1.00. He tried it out in Upper kurast and it was excitingly fast and deadly compared to razortine.Originally Posted by Crazy Runner Guy
Edit: I like Death's Sword/Hand combo at lvl six, with that big +25-75 cold damage, but not sure it is worth socketing with a hel to make the requirements a bit more reasonable. Depends on whether you already plan to use any Sigon's pieces, perhaps.
Wow where's all the love for rixot's keen? I love that little sword that could.
I am not only "pretty" sure, I am 100% sure. You can collect and build the will, mule it off and collect all parts again in a new game which is not hard at all as you already have the maps...Originally Posted by NSXdreamer

Heh, necro I did know the answer to the question. Just making sure everyone else considered it. Using quest items before they are supposed to be found is fairly cheesy so I don't really approve of it. But duping one off a char would be far worse.
I have been playing this game ever since it came out almost five years ago. I have tried just about every character build that interests me, done thousands upon thousands of magic find runs, and essentially played the crap out of the game. If I want to do something to spice up the game, e.g. making Act I Normal easy so I can get to the interesting parts, I don't see any problem with doing so unless it is clearly cheating.Originally Posted by Thrugg
That being said, the most I do is find a nifty class-specific item with +skills for new characters. For example, a staff or orb that boosts warmth and fire bolt. I actually pick up these items that have potentially low level requirements when running cows. The Qlvl is high enough to get a lot of skills on them, and hopefully the mods are low enough for a low level character. Is that cheap too? I have a stash full of starter items such as these.
