Best mercenary for Smiter?

What is the best mercenary to get for an uber diablo smiter? I am not sure whether to go defiance for extra defense or might for more damage.

I know he kills fast with all the right equipment I was just wondering what merc would help like killing the little minions around him and act bosses and stuff. I guess might would be nice but holy freeze or defiance could also help a lot.

Rogue merc with WWS/Riphook
Might merc with Reaper troll

HF merc using Reaper/ eth Obedience. Everything goes into slow mode with this guy.. Except for one, cant remem the name of the 'bull' monster

For my case i use might merc.. cos everything is going down fast
