I tried playing Fallout 1 and 2 a while back. I still have them actually. I liked Fallout 1 better, but the screen kept going black every few seconds, and I never could find a fix for it. It's a shame really.
Fallout 2... I honestly did not like the way it started out, so it really took a lot of my motivation away.
If I ever can find a fix for Fallout 1, I will definitely pick it up again. If I manage to get through the whole game, it might just motivate me to play the second one.
Has anyone else ever had that problem with Fallout 1?
FO2 restoration project really improved FO2.
Yes, I have seen the thread on NMA several times. I like all of the changes he has made, but again, the beginning of the game is just too tedious for me to really stay interested for some reason.
The Bear Dude rocks.
Tycho is irritating me at the moment. I took his gun off him because he kept shooting me. So i gave him spears to use in melee, so what does he do? throws them at me instead! Dogmeat however rocks. I'm now into the hub, but i just picked up FO3 on PC with all the expansions. I've finished the original on ps3 but the expansions look nifty, and it was only $12 bargain
Witch Doctor = top half of a Flayer Shaman = cracked-out, grass-wearing, jungle hobo = bobbing clown who vomits leaves a.k.a. Bobo the clowning village idiot. And people thought Necromancers had an image problem.
Just picked up fallout 3 and all the expansions on PC for $12. Finished the original on PS3 as a melee weapon/big gunner and as a small weapons specialist. So now i'm going to play through the whole thing as a ninja. lots of stealth and unarmed killyness. Going to try and finish the whole thing without using a gun

Really good. I've got a stash of guns in my house in megaton, from shotguns to a fatman i've got everything bar the .32 pistol, in case of super hard bits.
I'vr also got a magnum secreted on my person for just incases although i've only used it once, to take down a deathclaw.(that was on about my 9th reload, they are nasty critters)
Spiked Knuckles were the medium of choice until i made my claw gauntlet and i crit often enough that most things only take a whack or two. Also carrying a dartgun to split up large groups by crippling their legs
Took down the behemoth outside GNR with my claw, which was cool. The challenge rating is ALOT higher than small guns as you don't just go theres a baddie:
1) far away, sniper rifle it
2) mid range magnum or ol painless it
3) close, shotgun the fool
You've got to sneak attack as much as possible and when that fails you've either got to lure them around a blind corner OR (my favourite) dash between cover to get close. I love trying to take down minigun mutants or rocket launcher talon mercs.
Anyway i've got a mordheim campaign starting this coming weekend so i need to finish getting my bretons painted! For The Lady!
Just replayed fallout 3. Found Lincoln's repeater. I am in love.
It's absolutely OP
Along with Reservist Rifle...
