    COA vs Shako

Ok. This has been bothering me for a while, what would be the better helmet for a smiter? Now both the Coa and the Shako have strong points and weak points.

    Coa:
    30% Faster Hit Recovery
    All Resistances +(20-30)
    +1 to All Skills
    +(100-150) Defense
    Damage Reduced by (10-15)%
    +50% Enhanced Defense
    Socketed ((1-2))

    Shako:
    +2 to All Skills
    +1.5 Life per clvl
    +1.5 Mana per clvl
+50% Better chance of getting magical item
Physical Damage Taken Reduced by 10%
    +2 to Strength
    +2 to Dexterity
    +2 to Vitality
    +2 to Energy

now what would be the better helm? and what arguments can you give?

Better item fights are useless. It always comes down to what is the best item for YOUR setup. Generally speaking CoA > Shako, but I'v had many a build where I didn't need/already had what CoA gave, and Shako was FAR superior. I suggest you design a build with each one, then compare them. That's the only way to see which is better for you.

agree wif wat rane said...it depands on wat ur other items giv

mi smiter is using a COA ber ber for the dr which i can only get fr mi dungoes and COH
i like the 30% fhr too as it helps against other smiters, higher def is another bonus

how ever, the main ting i would use shako for is it's +2 to skills and the added life.

imo i like coa better for it's looks (pally using crown and archon armour is veri nic looking) and tat it has 2 sockets and it already has fhr so saving mi the shael... =)

fhr has little/no effect on smite duels. don't wear coa just for those. versus casters and fhr intensive duels (windies and their tornado spamming, mindblast, etc) then maybe coa would be better.

but I'd say shako wins overall; a few builds/setups will make better use of a coa though.

If your setup needs more DR and an extra socket for more Ias or whatever, then CoA wins. Otherwise, shako > CoA in most cases. For a few matchups, the extra 300 defense and/or 30FHR of CoA can give you a slight advantage.

IMO, depend on ur setup. For most smiter or hammardin, shako is the best helm for them. (+2skill, extra life/mana) CoA, on the other hand, require huge amount of STR if u dont socket with ed/-req jewel. And most likely, CoA will be used to melee characters such as zealot. the +resist, fhr, and +1skill wont hurt. Is really depend what u gonna make, however.
