Help in Armor type

I can finally built my first enigma for my pally.

These are my choices of armor -

all 3 sockets

Archon plate - 495 defense
Dusk - 512 defense
Mage plate - 301 defense

Which one should i make in? I hope to make my engima versatile so that i can used across all characters regardless of melee or caster. Please me to choose?

dusk!:: most defense, lowest str requirement of the 2 elites (77 iirc), will give you an easy 1200+ defense, so that is good on a pally. Definitely the dusk!

That dusk will cost about 50+k per point to repair, and that really annoys me with my superior-item type runewords. You can always use runes to repair it though.

I'd definately use the Archon.. :/ since the diff in defense is only 17.
