Life span: less than 5 hours.
Over the weekend, I took my first venture into the brand new world (to me) of pking. I thought I would start small-but-eccentric - I tried (believe it or not) a level 13 kicker (which evolved to a level 15 by the end, but more on that later).
(GHETTO) Equipped with:
Full sigons.
Full angelics.
'Steel' RW broadsword. (hehe, ias and OW, i needed a weapon on the fly so i made this)
Tons of lvl9 req +life charms. (eventually lvl14 req when i hit that lvl)
Skills:
1 Tiger Charge Up Thingy (never used it before this)
11 DTalon
1 Claw Mastery
1 BoS
About 450 hp (nothing great, but hey, first pker ^^)
DMG: not too much. 300 per kick with full charges. :/
Ok, don't laugh, first pker and I knew the gear sucked for a pker, and it definitely wasnt a good build, but she did much better than I thought she would. Of course, there was no chance of killing people with chicken, but I like a challenge and i friggin love kickers!
I will tell you of my notworthy battles now
#1: found a act 2 questing game. partied up, got the wp to far oasis, followed the party to the maggot lair... oh what fun this turned out to be. everyone was still outside for some reason, so i went back to town and stated 'how many people here use chicken?' and hostiled. Someone said 'see, i told you he was a pker' and i said '^^'. I waited 10, went back to far, and there were 2 people outside killing beetles. A lvl 13 asn (trapper by name) and a level 15 barb. I chased the asn down: kick kick dead! My first true pk! The barb took off and tped before I could get to him. Then I went down the maggot lair and chased a few people around, and they tped up and were safe. I said 'gg all, been a pleasure' and left.
#2: I entered into a 'kill andy' game. Whole group of people in cats 2. I hostiled, said haha look half of you use chicken! Someone said something about me being a newb, blah blah, who cares, went through wp to cats 2... and 5 people in a line, killing a unique... This turned out to be fun. I ran after a asn, who tped, then chased a druid. level 16 druid, i think elemental, and completely crushed him against a wall. Deeds.
#3: Entered into a 'kill meph now' game. Throughout my pking career with this girl, I had been in an 8 player game, tanked trav because the level 20+ people were too afraid of them, tanked meph because they were too afraid, and almost did D before I became bored and hostiled everyone in that game... Uneventful tho. In this game however, I was called out when I hostiled the group. There was a 24 sorc, 29 asn, 37 sorc, all members of some clan. I was called out by the 37 sorc. So, back to act 1, Im standing right outside of town. Sorc comes out, starts spamming lightning, and while I must admit some damage was happening, not nearly the amount was happening to me as was happening to her. She ran back to town. I was then called a 'noob hacker' because I was wearing sigons at 14. All i can say is - wtf does that mean? Over the course of the night I ran into them again, this time a different member of the clan (KoA was it?) level 42 called me out. By this time I was level 14, and take the same description of the battle above and paste it here. This time instead of being called a noob, 2 more people from the clan jumped me! I survived, however, and still almost killed the sorc. I was told GD this time instead of being called a noob. Finally, some respect!
#4: I had a pally call me out. Sword/shield, I assumed zeal, and was correct. Level 18 pally, walked up and started swinging, and he might have connected one, if that. I dont recall. I know I was hitting him, and pretty hard. Flux.
#5: I was about to hostile everyone in an act 2 questing game when a level 27 asn joined. He hostiled the party (i was in it, so me as well) and ran out of town after us (we were at the entrance to town, my favorite pking area). I took off for a little bit like I was afraid, and I even put up a tp to make it look like I was about to run (why not indulge him) and I promptly turned around and COMPLETELY stomped him down. He apparently just felt like playing up being a pker, because I had him down to almost nothing. Flux. :(
#6: Chasing a group of people around act 1 Andariel, and I dont even realize that a friend of theirs had joined the game. A level 48 zon. With guided arrow. That alone I was not afraid of, but it was the combination of guided arrow and tppk that destroyed me. I dont use mh, tppk, chicken, etc, so I didnt see her sneak up on me. GG zon, you had to cheat to kill a level 15! kind of makes me proud, actually...
Thanks to all those who heard me talking up my game via /f m, declaring RIPs, complaining about rampant chicken use, and of course much thanks goes out to cy for all the free sigons she gave me ^^ (sorry i lost em, wasnt expecting tppk)
This time, what should I make? Any suggestions? I had a ton of fun, especially since I was so low level and dueling a few much higher level people, and killing people that were about my level. I am very comfortable with the ridiculously low level pker (9-15, 18 max) and i think I will be making another kicker, but shell be a level 29 pker (some ik set - boots belt gloves maybe- and whitstans for max block) instead of a level 13 ^^

My first kicker of hardcore i just got set-up with semi-good gear is going to give me my first pk as well. Good job Thamuzdevil!
