The Madness of King Method

Greetings and salutations once again, fellow SPF members, for I return to the fold once again..

Lately things haven't really gone my way, the latest problem being that I had to completely reformat my HDD, losing all my characters, and even worse, all my items. Trust me to not have any backups, either.

So back at the beginning I will start again, completely untwinked, with nothing to call my own, and I start to question which would be the better choice of character to relaunch my habit of death and destruction..

Which is why I'm turning to you.

To give you a helping hand, I'm on the lookout for a character that will have very little problem with running solo and untwinked throughout the entire game, while still actually being majorly involved in the action, and with very little need for specific items in order to survive. Oh, and as a side note, I also hope it will be very enjoyable/rewarding to play.

Or to sum it up in very few words, I want an immortal death machine, built from nothing but the meager starting equipment.

Anyone care to throw some options my way?

I've done three untwinked guardians for the Three Way Dance that aren't really at all equipment dependent:

LF Zon
FO/CL sorc
Bone Necro

All are great fun, I think....

Likely I will, being that I get a bit lonely all on my own.

That said, I dont think I'll be getting chance to play an awful lot during this coming week.. being so close to christmas and all.

I've found the least item dependant char in the game to by a fishymancer.

I started 1.10 afresh with a Bliz/Meteor Sorc. Glacial Spike to freeze baddies, and... you get the picture. I ran NM Meph for quite a while and then Hell Meph as well and had no problems with this character. Normal on P8, NM on P3 and Hell on P1.

Fishy's are good too.

You need to complete normal first before you can do HC.
I'd say fishy as well, they can beat the game SC with almsot no gear at all, and HC you could get away with just nice self found items and be ok, you shouldnt need to twink any items just for survivability.

ATMA -> Create Character -> Hardcore

Alternatively I could stick with SC play, not really sure right now.

You could also try a hammerdin, my last HC attempt met his demise in Act 2 hell due to the FE bug, but you could probably get all the way through being a bit more careful

Talon Trapper! Max Dragon Talon, Death Sentry, Lighning Sentry, go with Fade, use a shadow, maybe cloak of shadows, find some nice boots, and you are set!
