What's so awful about the human body?

    Linky

Is the human figure so offensive that our society has become deathly afraid that *gasp* children might be exposed to it!!! Its a ****ing replica of a work of art, not pornography. What the hell? Ashcroft freaking about the "exposed breast" on the statue of justice, this guy panicking about a freaking lamp. Next we're going to hear about some advocacy group petitioning to have "Mature Audiences Only" stickers put on replicas of the David.

What is so awful about a nude figure? Can someone explain this to me?

I don't get it either. As if kids aren't exposed to worse things on television everyday. This reminds of a Simpsons episode.....then again most things do.

Edit: I don't why when I write certain things why they are highlighted as links

And now what you all came here to see, hardcore nudity!

edit: Isolde, I have the same problem. :( I think it's adware or something, I'm running ad-aware right now to see if I can fix it. I'll let you know what turns out.

Actually, I think that it has something to do with the site, advertising and such. I get it too, anyway.

And I agree, it's only our body, there's hardly anything to hide from our children.

Actually it's nothing to do with adware, it's something serverside called "sponsored links", check the following thread on the support forum for some info about it.

What are you talking about? The naked human figure exposes parts that, practical as they may be, are inherently evil! It will corrupt our children's morals should they see them?

That looks like a statue we have at the square in "brunnsparken" in the city and another one we have outside my house not far from the playground.

In other news, the opening ceremonies of the Olympics have now been deemed too risque for some: http://www.mediaweek.com/mediaweek/h..._id=1000735588

Next, Micheal Phelps is gonna have more fines tacked onto his DUI sentence for wearing a swimsuit that was too small.
