Hi All,
Is there such a thing as a 6 socketed scepter ? I'm still in normal and on ladder so it'll be a while before I reach hell difficulty . Just curious Since there's a lot of d2 pros around here I thought I'd get your opinions on the subject. Or can we make it . Or is it just limited to swords . All opinions welcome Thanks in advance . A pally looking to the heavens for answers like sweet nectar on a vine . :beer:

Scepters have a maximum of 5 sockets.

Breath of the Dying can be made in all weapon types with 6 sockets, but preferably ethereal ones due to its indestructible property (a.k.a. not bows or crossbows).

its not limited to swords, its limited to 6 socketed weapons.

Thanks everyone for the heads up about the scepters 5 socket limit . I'm new to this game and still have a lot to learn . I'm still in normal difficulty so it'll be a while before I see any elite class weapons but I'll keep looking . Thanks again.

You cannot make BoTD. But you can make:

-BEAST (Ber+Tir+Um+Mal+Lum)
-CTA (Amn+Ral+Mal+Ist+Ohm)
-ETERNITY (Amn+Ber+Ist+Sol+Sur)
-HONOR (Amn+El+Ith+Tir+Sol)

You will not be able to add additional sockets to items with pre-existing sockets, and the max number of sockets for an item can not be exceeded. Scepters can only have a max of five sockets; depending on the type and item level of it.
