    Best secondary skill for PvP hammerdin? Holy Freeze?

    I'm making a PvP hammerdin, and I need to decide on a secondary skill. My equipment is as follows:

    Ber shako
    Maras
    hoto
    mage plate enigma
    Umed Hoz
    treks
    2x Sojs (will substitute raven if neccessary)
    Magefists

    I've seen that most hammerdins on this forum like to use charge, but I've thought of something else. What about Holyfreeze? If I have people staying out of range of my hammers, I could always switch to HF (it'll be high level of course, 40+ once I get off aura GCs), and I could put doom on a weapon switch for -cold resists. And of course, if someone started to run, I could hit them with my level 1 charge hahahahah (HF adds around 3k cold damage to your attack).

    Does anyone think this would be a great combo? Could really add to the defensiveness of a hammerdin if I needed it to, and I could use it to reach out and touch those people that were evading me. I assume most of the time I would use concentration, but do hammers do enough damage in PvP to kill most of the time without conc? I would have to work this build up a bit past 90 to max out HF (with max hammer synergies and all), but I think it might be worth it.

    I've used my friend's charger / HF auradin before, and I've found that a high level HF can be really effective with doom, so I'm wondering how this might mesh with the blessed hammer ability. Thanks for any responses.

    Well... i'm not a big number cruncher.... but normally concentration doubles my hammer damage. I usually have 9k hammers w/ conc. So 4.5k without... that means about 450 damage per hammer after penalty. So yeah... it might could work if you get a good charge in. I personally don't like the idea of ditching my concentration aura. I would just use the doom weapon so that you would have the slow from the aura and keep my concentration on during charge. You'd still do respectable damage and be slowing them down.

    Conc is even stronger than you think...
    Base hamemr damage at vigor slvl 20, BH slvl 20 and BA slvl 20 (fully synergized) is 1293-1320. With +skills of +13 auras / +15 combat you get a hammer damage of 2613-2640. Now you have to calculate in your conc, that if maxed will give you +540% ED. BUT conc only gives half of it's given ED to your hammers, so you'll get a +270%ED to your hammer damage.. So you final min damage (using conc) is 2613*270/100=7055 with final max damage of 7128 for a damage of 7055-7128. Try and compare it yo the 2613-2640, especialy after you calculate the 1/6 pvp penalty:
    Withouth Conc: 435-440
    With Conc: 1175-1188
    ~3 times the dmg, or exactly 2.7 times. :P
    My hammerdin does have 1 point into HF tho, and uses to to chill enemies the BM. With your high +skills, 1 point is all it takes.

    You'd need to Synergize HF to get 3k Dmg added to Wep...use Smite or Charge or something simple like that that doesn't rely heavily on Synergies for damage.

    The only 2 secondary skills that are good if you have a fully synergized hammerdin is either holyshield or prayer in my opinion.
