Well, oriental Asians are known steotypically for having small eyes. The basketball players are like slanting their eyes which is making fun of this stereotype.

I assume it has to do with the assumption that the players are (arguably sensibly for themselves) taking themselves as the norm, and showing how the hosts are an aberration and a deviation from the norm.

Or it could be seen as just the normal schoolyard taunt "haha you look like this".

Any which way, it has to do with a lot of badly grounded assumptions. However, when crying racism, such are not always hard to come by.

That's ****ing disgraceful IMO...
