I am playing non-ladder (on my own system :-))
I read the cube recipes, but am confused on two things:
1) Can I upgrade playing non-ladder
2) if so, what do I need to do it...items?
Thanks for answering my stupid question!
GO STEELERS GO!!!!!
Upgrading items from exceptional to elite is only available on ladder. The recipe is Armor+Lem+Ko+PDiamond.
Thanks Compman....I was afraid of that! I do not play on Battle.net due to all the scams and dupes, but it was worth a try. Thanks again!
Well... If you don't trade a lot, are very expensive, or don't trade expensive items with people you don't know, you shouldn't get tricked. If you try to rely on yourself for a bit, and trade with people you've played with before, or people from the forums, you should be OK and you'll still reap all the benefits from playing ladder!![]()
All upgrade recipes should work in single player. Compman's recipe is correct for your situation.Originally Posted by Steeler Fan

Yes, I should have mentioned that it does work on single slayer. If you click on the button labeled 'Single Player' when you first start Diablo II then you are playing single player and that recipe will upgrade your Shaftstop. Keep in mind that recipe only works for upgrading unique exceptional armor (helm, body armor, boots, etc) to elite. If you are upgrading weapons or rares refer to this page for those recipes: http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/cube.shtml
