Coming patch discussion

Is there already any special thread discussing about coming D2 patch? If not why don’t we start one? Share your opinion about how the game should be improved or fixed. I think it is not simple at all for there is many category ranging from graphics, sound, bugs and the most complicated one: gameplay (skills, items, monsters, etc)
Then we can ask the D2 programers to pay some attention.

I don’t matter much about graph or sound, the most important part for me from a game is the gameplay. I think there are some unbalance designed skills such like every ‘one point wonder’ skills (teleport), and some never used other than requirements or forced by synergies such like Double Swing of barb. As for items I don’t have many complains except the micro slim odd to find a zod or other most high ubers. I think some item is overpowered, Schaefer Hammer for example, second best weapon for a frenzier is still nothing compared to SH itself coz the static field (need to be nerfed?). No complain about monsters except the FE ancient.

Some can be improved, some cannot or too hard, but lets do what we can.

Frankly, I would rather Blizzard spend all of their man power on D3.

There have been threads on new patches and changes, but iirc they're all dead and buried in the 35th page or something.

I think blizzard gave up on the game altogether. This may sound pessimistic but I doubt they're making any more patches or D3. If they do, though, I'd like to see underpowered skills such as psychic hammer and blaze boosted.

They just need to fix the FE bug, make normal class specific uniques/sets and make the realm only runewords available to SP and i'll be happy

assuming a patch comes out, I doubt it will be much more than a few new runewords, the FE fix available on the realms and maybe a few new items.

other changes could include: fixing blessed hammer. there is no way they meant it for it to be so powerful. if a 1.11 patch comes, plan on BH being nerfed.

fixing gloam damage. we can hope anyway.

altering charge item synergies. I doubt its a priority, but if it's just a flag in the code, someone might 'fix' it.

hopefully they will also fix bugged skills like inferno, arctic blast & fend

I totaly agree with solo.

D2 is great. With FE correction and normal specific uniques would be great. Now as for the druid I would like to see more synergies between summons to improve the shaman. Also please make mara's easier

So what's the rumors? what are bliz team doing or gonna do ATM?

The rumours are that they're going to do jack, at least as far as Single Player is concerned. Producing a patch to fix the stuff in SP that they've already fixed on the Realms really shouldn't be a tough job, but there's no sign of this actually happening!

it is not hard at all to fix few bugs in SP and add the few runeword. however, there seems no one cares SP at blizzard side. It was said there is only one person taking care of D2 right now, and it is easy to understand why he is so busy - b.net is full of haxxxor and 9 year old kiddo!

I was under the impression that Battle.net was run by a 9 year old haxx0r and full of Blizzard employees?

All jokes aside, IF 1.11 ever does make it, it'll be a long long wait indeed.
Not to mention that SP will most likely (again) lack a few new things that they do have on the realm.
