Every time a new version comes out I hear people saying things like; "It sucks!" and other things I can't quote due to the bad language filter.

It's a fact that when valve took over the developement of the mod they made it worse from version to version. I was a long time 1.5 player and 1.6 was kindof pointless. A few texture changes and new maps. And 2 new unnecessary weapons, galil and famas, which are cheap versions of the AK-47 and the M4A1 and only force out the machine pistols. And with source they ruined it all. The graphics are much better of course, but the gameplay has been changed drastically. The weapons behave totally different and the aiming has become way too easy. However...

Anyway, the point of Lans has never been just the gaming for me. The point is that you get together with your friends and do something you all enjoy. The best time is when you take a break, have some food and laugh together about when you made a real *** of yourself in SC or when your friend managed to do something incredible in UT and of course a lot of off topic things.

Yep, that's why the LAN was worth it in the end. I had much fun with my friends, if most of the time only between the gaming...

Hehe, I've never been a fan myself but I remember an old class mate, a real funny guy, rant over the kevlar shield thingy in 1.6 (that's the version right?).

Yees. I think they once removed it, but it's still there now. It's a bit stupid. In general it was hard to move from 1.5 to 1.6... The changes were minimal, but in my opinion the aiming has become more easy, but many people say it's the same as in 1.5. In Source however it is completely ridiculous. The weapons almost don't scatter at all and if you have been good in the previous versions you are almost sure to own pretty hard in Css. It's good that they made it more newbie friendly, but it pretty much ruined the gaming experience for longtime players like me. If they would've just enhanced the graphics, CSS would be the perfect game for me (besides D2 of course

). But CS is one of those things you either love or hate. I love it.

And so on... I don't care that much about games now, as I said.

Just chatted with nadine for ~2 hours again, clarified the things of Friday and so on. But I need more RL contact with her. Damn. She's bowling with her whole family now. I wish I'd do something with my whole family more often, too, or at all...:undecided:

Finally got some time to post, pretty busy at the office today. Why is it that everytime there's a new software release my job just gets a bit harder? The problems we're having now are even worse than before the release :shocked:

Hey there Ana! Good to see you here. I have the same problem here, every time there is new software there's also new troubles and most of the times bigger than they were before the release.

Hey everyone? Where are you? Busy?

I'm in an astonishing great mood today because I was looking forward to see nadine again at school. The lessons were so funny because my mood shoved away my shyness and retentiveness... and I read out my pointless poem I had to write as a homework and lol everything was so funny... And I discovered that Pantera fickin' rock!

Well and then... when I went to the toilet between one of the lessons... nadine was coming! Well, nothing special, but she greeted me and... WOW! I had forgotten how breathtakingly beautiful she is!:love: Just this short meeting made my day. I always had "DO IT" in my mind and was very positive about doing it. Just when I entered the Ocafe, still in a great mood, I saw her sitting with her friends, the Ocafe being damn crowded... well, the usual thing.:undecided:

My mood stayed great, but it went down a little. Now however I'm sitting here, saw her coming online and thought about writing her, but abolished that idea because of not wanting to be importunate... but a few minutes later she wrote me! YES! I love those moments.

So we are just chatting!

But... it can't go on like this. I need to talk to her in RL, need to find a proper situation. But these things can only mean that I didn't shove her away from me with asking her out. And that she wouldn't have anything against more RL contact.
