Why won't my merc leech from Meph?

He uses Reaper's toll which has 14% ll, yet he wont leech from him

You can't leech from Meph. That means your merc can't either.

Yeah, you can't leech from Meph because of his smoky nature. No exception for merc either.

You can, of course, buy a wand with lifetap charges.

EDIT: on second thought, lifetap charges aren't very useful with a Reaper's Toll...

I haven't tried it, but an eth, upped Kelpie Snare would be better in this case, I guess.
