+mana & Minions?

Hi,

Just a quick question.....

I'm playing a summoner, and I'm thinking of using a +x mana after kill rune/jewel. If my minions make the kill, do I get the mana?

I think so.
Same thing as an assasin killing with traps

Hmmmm..... Just tested with a cheap hat and a TIR.

When I use CE, I get the blue swirlygig, and hence the mana.

When my minions kill, I dont get the swirlygig, and as far as I can tell, I dont get the mana.....

Does this sound right?

You don't get mana if minions kill someone. The same with a merc. If merc kills a monster you don't get any mana or life back.
