So who watched it?
I skipped the fluff but did watch some of the speeches.
Ron Silver: Focused and well spoken. I didn't know who he was but I thought he was very direct. It was like a cool drink of water.
John McCain: A good mix of very, very serious issues with a nice blend of humor. He sure has some passion in him that's for sure. He spoke to the camera rather than just to the crowd. He reached across party lines (as usual... no wonder why Kerry wanted him to be his running mate). He made a point to focus on that we are Americans first and political enemies second. That, and you can hate the message but not the messanger.
Rudy: What can I say? Sure he is dynamic speaker (duh!). He did a good job of bringing it all together. It made it all so personal. New York was his city; love him or hate him. A strong man.
Yeah, there was lots of 9/11. Was that right? Was it wrong? All I know was that it happend. It was real. We were attacked.
Yes, I can see the politics in all of this. But I do believe that John McCain and Rudy Giuliani are men of strong, decent character.
I listening to a little of it on the radio as I was driving to and fro bass lessons but that's it. I don't know who was talking but it was around 5:40-6:00 then around 7:10 to around 7:30 I was listening too
edit: wow I just remembered, I was listening to another talk show guy on the radio at 5. :bonk:

What other speakers are planned for this thing? Are they going to come up with a new rising star on the national stage like the Dems did with Obama? Who's on deck?

As to the day to day speakers, I can't answer that.
I am not that tuned in you know.![]()
Ah, well, I was thinking more along the lines of "people nobody's really heard about yet." McCain and Giuliani are pretty famous dudes.

This looks like a helpful guide to the convention.![]()
You don't really expect me to click on that do you??
And to say that I haven't heard of Obama is... insulting.
But I do get your "new rising star" point. Both John and Rudy are well known figures.
*point goes to Durf*
*I* hadn't ever heard of Obama. So basically I'm even less tuned in than you.
The link is silly, but work-safe. Check it out! (There's a link to the earlier "how to score at the DNC" article there, too.)
McCain is awsome, dunno much about Rudy, Cant wait to hear what Arnold has to say.

You told me in May of '01 (I think) that I should not use pm's as a reliable method of communicating. I thought about it and agreed. So now, I will not use the net for info about how to score.
But some of those DNC babes are pretty hot. O_o
