My SkelliMancer is level 81 now, and is in Act 5 of Hell. I am still amazed at how easy Hell is with him, at least compared to the Pally and 3 Sorcs I tried to play in Hell and gave up on. It has become even easier now that I acquired a pair of MarrowWalks and put a point in Bone Armor. With all my pluses, I now have level 8 Bone Armor, and instead of the 90 damage absorption that level 8 normally gives, I get 575, thanks to the Marrows and Blizzard's great programming team.
The only really difficult thing about this Necro in Hell is raising the initial army. It's not really difficult, but in Hell difficulty it can be problematic....once I ran outside the Rogue camp to raise my army and ran into a pack of zombies with an aura-enhanced PI boss, and they killed my merc and my iron golem and sent me scurrying back to camp with my tail between my legs. But that is the exception rather than the rule, plus it is a general Necro problem, and is not specific to this build. The other hassle is that in Hell difficulty it often takes a pretty good while for my pack to make that first killl so I can start using CE. Also, my merc dies too often, even with over 1400 life, and at 50k gold per pop to res him, that's a pain. But that is not specific to this Necro build, so I digress...
Last night I killed Hell Diablo, and he dropped a HoZ (which I have been trying to get for my Pally), a Bartucs, and a Djinn Slayer. That was the best single drop I have gotten in this game ever! Also, I got a GUL on my HellForge, which was decent IMNSHO. And Diablo wasn't really any trouble to kill.
This character never died once in Norm or NM. He's died about 4 times so far in Hell - once because I wasn't paying attention, and the other times were all in Diablo's lair, where you get those unbelievable hordes of monsters. I think that is pretty dang good!! It's even more amazing to me because this character is all decked out MF gear, which means his resists in Hell diff really suck. I really believe that it would possible to take a character with this build all the way thru on Hardcore....but since I don't think my nerves could take it, I'll leave that up to somebody else...heh...
I don't anticipate any problems with Act 5 or with Baal and his minions. I'm looking forward to finishing Hell (my first time ever) and starting on Hell Cows.
Thanks, Fish, for an awesome build!!!

remember not to do the Nilhithak quest. That way the red portal stays open all the time and you can grab your first set of corpses and raise as many skellies as you can till those guys wake up.
Thanks for that tip! However, you can still do the quest as long as you don't activate the wp in the Halls of Pain (think that's the name). The red portal will still be there if you don't, even after you complete the quest.Originally Posted by Yams
