What damage can you expect with dual gimmers and frenzy/double throw?![]()
Also tinking about perfect ormus robes. I'm not uber rich so CoH is not an option.
Would ormus really do anything? Considering it adds to Skill Damage, not raw elemental damage? I may be wrong tho...
You're probably right. Stupid old me...
+% skill damage( ormus, facets) acts like a "mastery" (sorc mastery, that is) so you'll get an increase in elemental damage, but IIRC just for melee, not for ranged attacks.
i was under the impression that +% elemental was just like +% ed jewel in your hat or armor...it boosts whatever it can on your weapon.
i would guess it works, but even if it did, it wouldnt be any kind of crazy boost. we are talking a max of +15% damage from perfect 15/15/15 fire/cold/lightning.
gimmers add exactly 902 avg elemental damage, so +15% would add 135 damage. this is simply not enough in my opinion.
you could get good physical damage by wearing a lionheart runeword which adds 15 to dex, 25 to strength and 20% damage. with gimmers' 125 physical damage, you would get 61 physical damage added. while you may see that as lower, this is damage which can be deadly struck, and can leech for you. elemental damage cant do that. also, lionheart gives a lot of life, and the stats it gives can help you add even more points to vitality if you wish. 30 resist all isnt bad!
perhaps an avenger could make use of ormus' because of the ridiculous damage, but i think that a gimmers thower could do better.
Ok thx for the input. Currently in process of converting him (now only lvl 20) to an DS/CB frenzyer. Dual Death Cleaver, Guillames face, Duress, Goreriders, Highlords and Draculs. Max DS and 65 CB aren't bad. Death Cleaver isn't so hard (expensive) to aquire, is it?
Ya, +xx% damage works on any source of that damage, and even though the LCS will display a greater damage on a ranged weapon, it simply dosen't add the +% when you hit, I've tried this melee, and ranged with a bow/crossbow, I have not tried it with thrown weapons, I expect it would count as ranged and the extra +% would not apply, however, I could be wrong on this one.
