@Hiedran the diablo thing happened to me once too. I had him down to the tiniest sliver of life, went for the tp to get MF gear, and I actually saw the death animation start just before the tp took effect, however, it still said I couldn't complete the quest in that game... damn. At least I still got the 1st drop twice

Killed off Baal and the cow king in NM to become a conqueror with Hazelnut. My last bowazon became a guardian, so I'm crossing my fingers. She also found the first piece of the cow king set I've ever found, the cow king's horns. It's in the stash now.

I think I'll take on Baal a few times in futile hope of a good bow, but I won't have the patience for the 200 or so runs it would really take to get good odds of finding something good.

I'm not sure, since I didn't get to ID all the Ancients, but I think I got waxed by the FE bug. Korlic might have been CE, since I had 15 cold res. But I had 2k life and wham! it's all gone in one Whirlwind.

Now it's time to make a cheese character so I can get my first guardian. I'm debating between a CL/FO sorc, Bonemage, Wind druid, and Frost Maiden.

My condolensces to the fallen team. And so close to a guardian too... Well, still a pretty good showing in the tournament. I should get around to playing again, but I'm a bit busy now, so just wanted to check on the progress of others.

Sepp made his way through Act V. First off he rescued Anya and got a crappy paladin shield. Then he went through to the Ancients to say hi and kill them. But first of Sepp had some major problems with the ancients way. I had to reroll monsters 5 times before I got a doable mixture.
After that the Ancients were not problem. From the ancients I made my way to the WSK Waypoint. So I stopped there and went for Nihlathak. After resurrecting the Merc 4 times I killed him. So there we are. The only quest left for Sepp is killing Baal. But before doing that, I think that I will try Hell with Hias. Maybe I can do a few Pit runs to get some good items for Sepp.

Elayna joined the boys in Kurast Docks. She is clearly the strongest melee fighter in my team, at least against single monsters. She΄s still much too frail for my taste (<700 life), but that will hopefully improve during the rest of Nightmare.

Sigemund the barb, however, is underpowered at this stage. Even though he has a good runeword in a high-end exceptional weapon (King΄s Grace Rune Sword) and my act 2 mercs only have a so-so exceptional set item (Hwanin΄s Justice) or a so-so ethereal rare Battle Scythe, he is MUCH weaker than they are. OK, one of them has an enormous life boost and a bunch of tanks alongside him and the other is backed up by maxed Fanaticism, but the difference really is huge.

That means I get good practice with crowd control techniques when I play Elayna...

Sigemund DO kill most of the monsters, but Elayna & shadow usually have to "soften" them up for him, tank and protect him in several ways. He can΄t tank squat. Three normal Burning Dead and he΄s in trouble. I kid you not!.

I have set a personal MF best with this character: I have +508% MF for Sigemund΄s kills! The resistances aren΄t sacrificed either. 'Rhyme' shield, resist charms in 8 inventory spaces and fabulous rare gloves, belt and boots give Elayna these resists:
Fire: 75
Cold: 68
Lightning: 75

Elayna is a lot of fun to play and she΄s beginning to feel a lot like the character she΄s out to avenge: Diana the skillz tourney Talonsin. The difference is that Elayna has a shadow and Venom, Diana didn΄t.

I look forward to the next playing sessions. My favourite two acts are coming up, for all my characters. Also, I am now very close to get my hands on the weapon that will be the end-game choice for two of my characters. I only need an Amn (or 2 more Thuls) to have 2/3 chance to complete it.

I managed to make some progress at last. Anigel is now my second Conqueror, having no problems at all. Lightning immunes slowed her down a bit, but she managed with the Shadow, a Merc, Death Sentry, Blade Fury and Venom.

Kadiya on the other hand had more trouble with Diablo than any other character I've ever played. He completely ignored my Valk and my merc and kept trapping me in bone prisons. I can't remember the last time I've even seen him cast a bone prison, and he caught me in like 15 of them. After that, I was ready to quit for the evening.

Best find of the day was probably Trang Oul's Wings, which I've never found before. It came off a random monster in one of the outdoor Act 5 areas.

Great to see the new Conquerors coming thick and fast. Now to the back of the pack . . .

Despite having a bit of a struggle for time at the moment, I've finally managed to get Sara and Starm through the rest of Act 2. Starm has also completed the first quest of Act 3. No NDEs or real issues, and I'm just waiting for them to get to level 30 to get their uber skills. I'm now officially doing better than I did last time, as they've all survived Act 2 (with no foolish deaths).

I think he΄s much worse with that trick in the current version of the game. In 1.09, he couldn΄t pull it off if you were constantly on the move.

At least Kadiya could fight her way out. If a summoner/curses necromancer gets caught in one and he has no means to teleport, he΄s pretty much screwed...
(Well, maybe he could "bomb" his way of by casting Fire Golems)
