Mad Mantis, to kick, or not to kick?

Let me introduce you to my dilemma:

Mad Mantis, some of you may be familiar with him, has made this reply to a post of mine.

This "ABBA group" I was all but unaware of before doing a search, which unfortunately lead me to sites such as this one.
Forgive my ignorance if I am wrong, but based upon my avid googling I am left with the impression that this is a massive insult, not to mention the presence of ":lol:" in his apparently belittling post.

Now generally I deal with such problems with a swift kick, but I am unsure of how to deal with this one.

This is why I ask for your opinion on how to handle this situation. To kick, or not to kick?

I wouldnt kick him. I would return the insult 10 fold. Something along the lines of: "Oh yea, well your mother listens to Vanilla Ice." That will teach him.
