tattoos

so now that im getting closer to the age of 18, i am more seriously contemplating getting a tattoo, which i have wanted for quite a while.

how many of yall have tattoos? how old were you when you got them? what are they? how did you ask your parents about it?

also if there are parents reading this, how would you react if your 17/18 year old asked to get a tattoo?

im thinking of getting either the dragon Jormungandr, or a phoenix( with the wings going around) around one of my wrists.
if you do not think my placement is a good idea, please say so, and then say why.

also, feel free to add whatever you would like. ( keep the hi jacking to a minimum please)

I have two tattoos. Both on my bum. Various reasons for that placement. I got mine when I was eighteen. I didn't tell my parents but my sister ratted me out one time and they weren't impressed, given that they are super conservative and all. My cousin got a tattoo on his wrist and said it hurt like a bugger. I personally think that if a guy is going to get a tat he should get it on his arm, back or shoulder blade. Those are the sexiest.

well, my "guns" arent that large, meaning that if i got it on my arm that it would be kind of....i dunno...not right. pain doesnt really bother me that much, not saying that im all hardcore i <3 pain or anything, its just that i expect getting this done will involve pain, so i better not be let down

There are certain placements that hurt more than others. Fleshy areas hurt less than places near the bone. Although my *** was hurtin pretty bad during both times. It was actually pretty funny because the place where I went didn't have a bed to lie on so I was bent over a chair the whole time with my pants half pulled down and with six or seven people standing around me. What can I say? I liked the attention. I got a butterfly and a vine of flowers. The guy I was dating at the time told me I should have gotten a crossword or a story done so he would have something to read. He was gone after that comment. Anahkaha no word searches either! :lol:
