Allright guys, a little story first so you can understand where I'm going
A while ago I was dueling some of the people in here and it was good gaming. Noted some stuff about my char that needed attention and so on... Strijdje was there too with a lvl 90 thrower (a char I allways wanted to make.. but never got the nerv to) and what struck my eye? He was running REALLY fast
Now there are some chars out there that can run like crazy..
Barb - increased speed
Pala - vigor (charge)
Assa - BoS
Any char with lot's of r/w charms
This got my attention because being fast is quite cool.. (+to style points IMO) and it's quite effective too..

Well I want to make a PvP char (yet another one.. while I still have 2 in the making..) that relies alot on running. I know there are better ways of dueling etc but I just want this lol.. What char could break the fastest run speed out there AND have a good kill in him/her ? (I need to get trough the game too..)
I was thinking of several chars:
- thrower is nice.. but.. I want to be original (darn you strijd hehe)
- zerk barb, ~run in, hit, run out, repeat~
(whirling isn't that great with alot of FRW)
- charger, ~run run charge charge run charge run, repeat~
- zealot, ~run run run ... switch aura's (that is the bad part) zeal, switch, run, repeat
- kicksin, ~run run, telekick, kick, run run, repeat~ (maybe rely on telekick only)
- trapsin, ~run stun, run stun, trap *5, repeat~ (I don't need alot of FRW for that..)
- bladesin.. hehe... PvP blasesin is.. YUMMIE if it'll work..
Well.. I didn't think of any other char yet.. Tell me what you think. Oh and strijd, if you're reading this, feel free to post the FRW on your thrower (pretty pls?)
I think for sheer speed, its hard to beat a vigor/charge pally, and charge does massive damage with a nice AR boost to boot. Plus you can have secondary attacks like smite, FoH, or whatever, which can be helpful in duels. Also, when using charge, if your char is set to walk, you don't reduce your charge speed but you DO keep max block and defense! So you can use shift+charge to run w/o taking the normal running penalties, as well as using charge the normal way to attack w/o taking penalties.
Also charge auto targets, so even if your opponent moves, your char will follow. Even if it were a game where teleport is allowed, they will follow, giving you at least some shot at catching them.
i'll have a shot (a crude one at that) at the gear component
since you'll want mainly r/w gear (skills dont do much because skills like vigor and increased speed give little bonus in later levels) how about this? (Frenzy Barb)
... of course you mentioned dueling i'll try to take some dueling power to consideration
08 Valk or a rare circlet
Cat's Eye or 08 highlord's
Crainte Vomir (but of course you wouldn't use THAT?), or
Azurewrath (you'll want a fast initial attack speed to go with your fast running right?), or
Silence Phase Blade, or
Some good throwing weapon or even widowmaker, if you wanna hit and run
and of course, 2*(+3warcry)weapons on switch
Enigma or smoke ... I don't think Trang's measure up to these when dueling
no shields of course
too many choices to list for gloves and belts
set boots have 40%, but gore riders have a close 30% with better mods
any rings, but i guess raven frosts can prevent you from being slowed by cold
maybe ditch cat's eye for angel's ring+ammy setup cuz u wanna hit right?
hm.. the chargadin is getting my attention.. also because a frenzy barb won't be that effective in PvP .. never tried it though..
some questions about the chargeguy.. should I make a Glass Canon?? you know.. max damage but not even a shield?

and then what? I'd have 1375% ED from these skills alone.. so running around with an extra ED aura wouldn't even be necesarry.. so running around with vigor = pure style
but then again.. I could go with smite + fana.. but smite won't be that great without holy shield.. or if I get holy shield it'll cost me alot of skillpoints..
let's say I'd go lvl 99..

5 prereqs for those
3 in fana + 2 prereqs..
Will my fana be enough? I don't think so... I could drop one of the charge synergies but... that kinda takes out the idea behind the build..

@esso, looks good but still.. I don't think frenzy will do that great in PvP.. you'll need alot of AR to get a hit going and your first hit will be ''slow'' plus.. you'll need to hit your opponent alot if you want to get him down.. hm... maybe some nice open wounds.. hm...........................
Taking out a synergy (probably might, since vigor is a highly useful skill) and putting the pts in fanatacism will actually give you comparable damage and significanlty higher AR. Charge gains 20%/level synergy boost, while a level 22 fanatacism gives +407% damage. Also if you opt for a shield (and I certainly would) your high fanat/holy shield will allow you to use smite as a secondary attack. But you say you don't want to do that....
Only problem I can see is that I have had a lot of trouble actually hitting people with charge. You'll need a good long range weapon, and be aware that skilled opponents can negate charges with terrain fairly easily. Maybe some practice with charge would help.
Finally to get through the game I'd drop a pt in zeal and use +skills.
