does -%defence work on bosses? (act+random ones)

i want to make a blade fury assassin, but the only way i can ever imagine hitting anything is having an eth fleshripper (-75% target defence). my question is, will this work on bosses? if so, how effective is it on act bosses/random bosses/super uniques. thank you for your help. btw, how effective is a lightning sentry with 2 maxxed synergies in hell? i guess the damage would be around 3-5k, would that be enough to hurt anything? also, how well do trap/bf assassins do at mf...on the new ladder im reluctant to make another sorc because they are so boring (but oh so useful). sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes, i just woke up.

The -75% Target Defense works on all monsters, including bosses and Act Bosses.

-defense is halved on bosses. It still helps a lot, especially in conjunction with CoS.

The LS should do okay if you have a decent amount of +skills

Trappers do very well at mfing.
