Yeah.
Show me proof other than wild stories, and I'll believe it. Until then, my middle name is Skeptic.

Wow.. i dont think i'd be able to keep my sanity if I ever had something like that happen to me.Originally Posted by starseed
I dunno what it is lately.. i've just been super paranoid, like someone is watching me or there's something there. I can't help but feel like it's just me being paranoid, but it's starting to creep me out.
It's not very comforting to know that somoene who lived in the house im in currently in committed suicide.. thank god they didn't do it in this house, or I dont think i could live here.
i think like a lot of things.. it's something you have to experience to a certain extent in order to believe it.Originally Posted by mixedvariety
That's more or less how it is for most people I think. I mean, I don't believe in God 'cos I've never seen him. I've seen/experienced these types of things so I can't dismiss them but invisible man in the sky has yet to show his face in these parts. But hey, if someone shared a taxi with him one day, more power to 'em.Originally Posted by MixedVariety
Skepticism is 100x better than being gullible in my book. :P
I do believe that people can be overly skeptical as well. I think a good mix of the two is about perfect.
I think being overly skeptical is called ignorance.
But yes, I agree. I don't think either side should force their viewpoint down the other's throat but well, people not keeping an open mind to anything sucks in general.
I think I've just gotten over the overwealming fear I used to have of all this stuff. Reading about it starts to bring it back, I really shouldn't have opened this thread.
An overactive imagination is the hardest thing to conquer
Yes.. yes it is. Although it makes a person extremely creative, it can also make you scare the piss outta yourself for no good reason.
I've had a "OOB" experience once as well...
So I was knocked out, when I hit the back of my head.. Then I felt a wet sticky thing going down my head and then I saw it. Ambulance, people around me and all and.. blood!
Damn, now I'm goddamn scared. I'm going to sleep with the lights on tonight. Or with my mommy. :(
When I was about 8, this one thing would always seem to happen to me.
I remember falling asleep a few times and being scared to do so. I had just heard stories about things just like this from a friend's sister. It was this weird... falling feeling. I heard the air go by me but I couldn't feel anything or my form. I tried to open my eyes and it didn't work. It was like I didn't have any appendiges when I tried to move my arms.

As SOON as this feeling was done, my eyes were open and I was breathing hard on my bed.![]()
