This have happened to me several times all during the same night. The details are a little fussy but i do remember "breaking out of it" atleast once by trying to scream and move with all my might. I wonder if i woke up the rest of the family :innocent:Originally Posted by Q33
Well there are plenty of drugs that can restrict the ability of muscles to work. You probably had a little bit of some toxin in your system that did it to you, just not enough to kill you!Originally Posted by Starseed
Okay, I'm going to make it extra clear to avoid flames of skeptics/more knowledgeable occultists and avoid somebody taking my words wholly as truth. These are a few of my thoughts, and opinions, and experiences, and what I've learned from others, I'm just a 20 yr old who reads about the occult and paranormal (and has done some psychoactive drugs over the past 3 years, though half of my experiences occured before any of that).
I too have experienced the wierd sleep paralysis thingy, since I was about 11. Freaked me out at first. Couple of years ago I learned that this, and night terrors, were something fairly normal. So while I recognize that there is a normal explanation for this, I have also heard that while in this state of half-consciousness your perception of the spiritual world is more open. This would explain while sometimes during this paralyzed state, I just can't move, and other times I feel attacked by something. Whenever I feel attacked, it is always by an entity that I can't see, but I can sense, and can feel their bodies, hands, teeth, knees, as they pin me. Once, I felt the attacker was an old male. Usually I don't sense a gender to the attacker.
Definitely the freakiest of these experiences and most violent of these attacks was when the thing attacking me was unmistakenly female, with fairly long hair, and an average build (although I couldn't see her, I could feel these) this had happened to me shortly after I had hit puberty. Unlike the others, which usually just choked or beat me, she bit, clawed, and kneed me, and even flipped me over (these sleep paralysis things almost always happen when I am sleeping on my back) and continued to do the same. Finally she seemed to get frustrated and it stopped. This was before I had ever heard of succubi, naturally I was re-freaked out when I learned about them. I don't know if this is related, but now I liked to be bitten and scratched a little, just not that hard
Sometimes I would see people out of the corner of my eye when I was little, something that doesn't happen so much anymore. Other than that I haven't actually seen anything with my own eyes (when I wasn't under the influence of something) that I thought could be a ghost. However, my friends and I have taken a few pictures in which wierd stuff has shown up. Sadly the one which was without a doubt some sort of mystical energy was lost by my stupidity. Here are the few photos we have currently (we are lazy and have been pretty inactive for many months) Our sad photo gallery
Oh, and please refrain from looking at any other sections of the site besides Paranormal, which are shamefully incomplete due to laziness. And unlike the Paranormal section are basically a bunch of made-up BS.
IMO most ghosts aren't really something to be afraid of. Kinda freaky, but I think we'll probably be these someday.
When you say you were bit, scratched, and all that. Did you actually have bruises and stuff when you woke up?
and geocities hates bandwidth =D
Well I didn't read through all of the messages, might get to it later tho. I just wanted to toss my story in.
I worked at an old movie theater for about a year. Supposibly haunted from the original owner, he plays the old organ we got there... he sits in his chair in the balcony, stuff like that. Of course none of the guys believed in those things, it was only the females.
That's kind of besides the point though, just a lil background info. So a bunch of us would get together on the main stage (used to be for plays), and we would play RISK, the board game. We did this a lot, a pretty common thing. After playing a game we get bored and start exploring the place. You can climb up above the stage, there are 2 ladders going up like 50 feet. And up above they connect and there's a lil place you can crawl around. But there's only dust/junk up there.
So we crawl around up there for a while, then come back down to play some more Risk. After 20, 30 minutes of this, all of the sudden, big clumps of dust start flying down from the above attic place. Lots of it, not just a little. We kinda freak out at first, but assume someone's up there just messing with our heads. So we go to both ladders and climb up, as there's no way down. We climb up, but the place is empty. There's no open windows up there, no wind at all.
No it's nothing too crazy, but even now we think back on it and can't figure out how it happened. But even with this happening, I don't believe in ghosts, and things of that sort. This is just my one story of unexplained weirdness.
not quite sure what you're asking. other than my lil story of that reflection i've never seen anything else supernatural. never heard any wierd noises that wasn't caused by the wind or the cat knocking something over. that was the only time. that's why it's wierdOriginally Posted by hottystarfish
Well, here's my story....
Background: We live in a house on a fairly high hill. At the bottom of it is a lake. The lake isn't gigantic, but it's a solid 20 feet deep through most of it and several blocks in circumference. Before we moved in, the owner's kid and his friend were playing on the (frozen) lake; one fell in and drowned.
Story: So anyway, I was just a wee baby still taking my daily naps. I was probably about 2. I was a curious one, so my parents used to close my door and put up a baby gate so that I couldn't get out (didn't stop me from trying anyway). Well, one day, my mom came in to get me up after nap time and praised me for being so well behaved. I told her that it was because a guy came and played with me during my nap time.
Normally, this wouldn't hold much salt, as little kids are prone to believe imagination/dreams as reality. However, my uncle, my mom, a guy who cleans the house weekly, a contractor, and a painter have all seen a boyish figure around the property. About half saw him by the pool, but the other half saw him in the hallway outside of my room.
I had forgotten about this till reading the thread....sleeping tonight should be interesting
Well, My story is isn't about ghost or the paranormal, but it is equally as freaky to me. Anyways, I was walking in the mall, and I bump into this guy. Well, I say I'm sorry and the guy just looks at me with these ice cold eyes. I look at him for a second and then he starts walking away. Then the day after I was watching the evening news, and guess who I saw? That guy, and the news said he was just captured for killing several people in the past, like an unsolved case that just been solved or something. Yeah, real cool, let's just run into serial killers. 0_0
