The best way to make friends on battle.net is opening a MP game with room for only 2 characters (you and one more).

Ha Wise! I once got a trustworthy friend like that. We were friends for 1 WHOLE year. But one day i asked him to x-fer my high lvl runes and whoopty Doo, he's gone. I quite D2 because of that for a long time and came back in 1.10
