[OT] Den Of Evil - 666?

After reading the post about the 666 mystery I thought I'd ask this question regarding the den of evil

I quit softcore to make a new start with a hardcore sorc. I ran around the blood moor till I found the den, began hacking away at monsters and got down to the final 5 monsters.

Now, for some reason it started saying that there were random numbers of monsers remaining and this kept changing, then it said 666 monsters remaining. I was like "what the hell...." so I closed the quest log and opened it again and it had returned to normal.

Now a silly question but has this always been a little hidden feature in the quest or have I just never noticed it before? Been playing a few years and never seen it before, or maybe its something in hardcore only. Wish I could've got a screenshot but any news would be appreciated

When one of the 5 last monsters in the den is a shaman who revives monsters than it sometimes happens, that he revives more than the 5 that were originaly left, that's when you get the 666 message.

Well, that is a hardcore game feature. It always happens just before a SOJ drops in hardcore. Usually at the same time on that same server Hephisto will also have a 50% chance to drop a ZOD.

It is how i have goten all of my Stones and ZODs!
