Frankly I think it smells (and tastes) like kerosene, but I used to laugh every time we said this cheer:

Yeah, the all-time-old joke of foreign people about tequila. But it's true.

It smells and tastes strong, but kerosene? far from that WM. It actually tastes very good, either on the rocks or with some special soda, it's one very tasty drink. It's not fermented cactus juice, it's cactus juice indeed, just not fermented.

Bug in the bottom of the bottle!? That's only a joke for foreigners!! TRUE tequila doesn't have something like that

no, it's an agave worm, a real thing. I've seen things like them in real life and they have an honest to god creapy crawly in them. they crunch too.
