Played wow for a really long time, D3 for awhile ( we all know how that ended for most). Back to d2 with the semi-fresh ladder.

Starting with an MF sorc as usual. Anyone feel like kicking me down a rush or two? Maybe a few **** items they don't need anymore?
Or even just people to talk to/play with, whatever works.

After removing ATMA V and saving the Stash.d2x file, I reinstall ATMA V, I migrated the Stash.d2x file I've saved to my USB drive to my desktop. But when I try to load the stash.d2x file it reads "Bad file size (0) Unable to load Stash file." The stash file still has all its content so it can't be because the file is empty.

The D2 I'm using is version 1.13c, I've heard it could have issues with ATMA V. Yes, this is a WIFOA game similar to City Mafia and Night of the Living WIFOA. I got permission from Caluin Graye to run this. [Thanks CG! - Just remember I'm going to steal your next awesome idea too!]

Game play and rules will be similar to the linked WIFOA games. A list of roles will be posted before the game starts. The number of roles will depend on the number of signups. At that point, everyone sends in a couple of numbers. Bah... I'll just quote CG:

In a WIFOA game, all roles are bid upon by the players. To determine the bidding order, all players choose two numbers between 1 and 20. The first is the primary number, the second is only used for tiebreakers. The person who chose the lowest number will have first pick of roles, with subsequent people choosing as you go higher in the numbers. However, if any number is chosen by multiple people, then they will choose a role after all single number picks have chosen. In a nutshell, lower numbers are better, but singles will always beat out duplicates, which beat out triplicates, etc. If the tiebreaker numbers are equal as well, then time of submission is used as the final tie-breaker.
Warning: Consistent day start/end times will be an issue.
Some days of the week I just cannot transition phases at the typical times or even consistent times. I see a couple solutions.

  1. Have a designated start/end time posted. No more votes and no more posts after that point. I'll end the day/night when I can and post any results. There will probably be days when the results will be delayed for several hours. Most troublesome for delayed day starts since no one can post until the day officially starts.
  2. Not all days will last 48 hours and not all nights will last 24 hours. As my schedule changes, so will the length of day/night phases. If I know I can't end the day on time, this lets more discussion take place.
  3. No strict day end times. Not even pre-determined day end times. Think of it as island time. Day will end upon a lynch or a nolynch lynch. Night will last a while but may not be a strict 24 hours.
  4. Get a co-mod. I'm game but I don't want to take away a player because of my slackage.

What I'll mostly be doing now is leveling myself up while sorting out all of the quests I may have missed along the way to the end of the game. It's been a long time since then and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some advice, I have a few questions to ask :

1. Does my first character have to be an MF character? I've always liked playing a barbarian but clearly other classes such as necro or sorc are better MF characters.

2. I can't make up my mind weather I should go on the EU or USwest server. Europe is closer to me but I'm not sure which one will be more crowded and be more entertaining, and have more serious dedicated players.
