Leah is implied to be the daughter of Aiden, aka the warrior in Diablo I, aka the Dark Wanderer in Diablo II.

Aiden, in turn, is the bastard son of King Leoric.

So that means...that Leah is really a princess.

I think it's more noteworthy that Leah's father is Diablo. More like the Princess of Hell.

Aiden being a bastard was a popular theory when it was first announced he was Leoric's son, in order to explain why we never knew about it before. It's clear from Leoric's journals in the beta that that he wasn't, or at least that Leoric acknowledged him as his son if he was.
