View Full Version : Wanting to trade MY Diablo 3 key for YOUR DotA2 key
As horrible as it sounds, this is true. I was raised on Warcraft 3 and Starcraft, and therefore lack the enthusiasm I am sure the vast majority of people on this forum has for the upcoming release of Diablo 3.
This puts me on the lookout for a DotA2-key, very much preferably (that might not be lingustically correct, but it expresses how much of a boost this is to any offer) an invite/gift that would work on my personal account.
My key is not connected to any Battle.net-account. I do not know if it makes a difference, but my place of residence is Sweden so if there is such a thing as zone-limited servers during the beta being restricted by the key, I guess this key would connect to a European server.
Please, feel free to contact me on Skype or via a PM. My screen name on Skype is thespacey.
Thank you for your time!

If you like Warcraft, just play dota there! Dota2 is a port; same game, arguably "better" engine.

its so sad that people who got invited by Blizzard to playtest Diablo 3 are the ones who are selling out the beta license. pffff

I agree. I think it's comparable with people buying multiple CE's and then putting them on auction sites for twice the money.

Yeah, its ridiculous. I hope blizzard gives out beta invite to people who can playtest and give significant feedback, not to some folks who trade it for just some other games. sad :ashamed:

i have the dota 2 beta ; though you cant just get a key as far as i know ; you have to opt in via steam and you get the acces via steam ; there is no such thing as a key afaik ; that being said i obviously would never trade my ~200 bucks steam acc for a the beta :p

If you have a gifted copy you can give that to someone and they will get it on their steam account. I have a gift of dota 2 beta available that I would trade for a d3 beta account since i use a friends beta account for d3. Anyway I'm sure OP already got an offer just saying that you can gift the game and not trade an entire steam account.
Be careful of scams people.
If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Dota 2 is horrible.
Cds on abilities are too short. Hard to see people coming on map.
Will never beat LoL

Hate to derail the thread but it pretty much served its usefulness already.
Dota 2 is a lot different then LOL and there are a lot of things that I find far superior in dota 2 than LOL. LOL is horribly balanced, very noob friendly, and far too simple in terms of strategy and skill scaling. LOL sticks to a tier scaling of hero usefulness and a bland meta game for competition. LOL rewards players for being passive and simply farming the majority of the game rather then aggressive ganking and forced team fights. LOL also has a much smaller map scaling system to make it far easier for a player to stay safe and out of danger which I suppose would be the reason you have trouble seeing people coming on the map. While there are many things i absolutely love about LOL (mainly the item system and skill trees ... rune system and summoner spells are horrid ) I see the games as being very different and dota 2 requires quite a bit more "skill" or rather is far more complicated in strict terms of gameplay.
