Hey,
I was bored. Not anymore, made a stupid build! I had a concept of a wizard build which uses the Coned versions of it's spells. Which of course means that you have to be up close and personal most of the time. So, without further ado:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#eSiWjf!UdT!cYYbca (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#eSiWjf%21UdT%21cYYbca)
Quick rundown:
Electrocute - Arc Lightning: Used for gathering flashes of insights and when we're out of AP
Disintegrate - Entropy: Main nuke for waves of melee enemies and other bad creatures.
Hydra - Frost Hydra: Mostly to either wreck havoc in the ranks of enemies. If there's lots of bothersome ranged enemies, drop one or 2 in their ranks and enjoy the damage/slows!
Wave of Force - Forceful Wave: Another Nuke spell, massive damage with some knockback. Used with flash of insight = lots of dead guys!
Teleport - Calamity: Either used to escape sticky situations, repostion yourself or plainly jump right into a group of enemies, followed by a Wave of force for maximum damage!
Ice Armor - Chilling Aura: Chilling a plenty, either when hit or when in close quarters. Will help with aiming various cones, or just microing enemies.
Passives:
Blur - Well, we're dabbling with dangerous close quarter situations, so it's better to have less damage, since this build is lacking in defensive skills. But, if enemies aren't posing any trouble whatsoever, to be replaced with Glass Cannon.
Illusionist - The ultimate "Oh Crap" solution, something hits really hard and there's no way we can take another hit.
Arcane Dynamo - Gives us multiple possibilities of further improving the damage of non-signature abilities. Also adds some kind of rotation - signature till you have 5 stacks and then boom, big damage aplenty!
So, in conclusion. I know this build lacks proper ranged skills, but it's supposed to be a fun build. Fun build with a theme around Cones, Recklessness and Running into dumb situations. Throw in some suggestions, ideas and variations if you like.
Cheers!
