2 Questions in regard of Diablo 3

1) I was just wondering if there will be higher settings for D3 on release? just wondering not that it doesnt look awesome already, just curious. I'm thinking of ''ultra'' just like in SC2.

2) Do you expect a released date or any discussion in regard of it tomorow at the conference call?

1. Not that we know of. If it existed, it'd probably be in beta so people could test compatibility.

Settings and textures were missing from SC2 beta that were included in release. And I think they will talk about the release in the conference call, I am sure they will save a date for some big unveil, and if I hear we are still on target for Q1 I will be happy.

What issues? Most everyone I know are running the game at max with zero issue. Unless you are talking about the vsync thing which in a game like d3 is a non issue to run it off since you are not moving fast enough to really see tearing. But I wouldn't consider that gamestopping or keeping an ultra settings out of the works.

I'd personally be surprised if they did not put in an ultra setting for several options. If freaking WoW has ultra settings then Diablo 3 better.

As for the release date, the best bet in the near future would be the conference call on thursday. They might give a solid date then like they did with Starcraft 2 or they may be vague about it saying something like "we are still aiming for the first half of the year."

You'll get my opinions too:

1. I think Ultra will be available on release, but if it isn't then it definitively will be available in a xpac or patch.

2. I don't think they'll announce it just yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have a huge event to announce it with. Keep in mind that the beta started without being announced at all (it's way different from a release date but it gives you a general idea of how they do things).

I hope, but my brain won't let me believe that they are announcing a release date. However, I do think we will all be playing before May, so it's gotta be soon.
