Would something like this work well?

Bola Shot /Alabaster for hatred and groups
Entangle /Crimson for CC and Cull the Weak bonuses
Impale /Indigo for bosses and mobs with PB ae attacks
Multishot /Golden mass attack elemental damage
Fan of Knives /Crimson looks awesome, pb ae slow again for cull the weak
Vault /Crimson Set up, distancer with elemental damage


Passives:

Tactical Advantage - work with Vault in gaining breathing room
Archery - obvious bonuses
cull the weak - works with the builds slows

would love to figure out how to work in caltrops somehow.

plan to use the templar companion.

You have entangling shot which slows and generates hatred, so you don't need caltrops. If you want caltrops, I'd say drop entangling shot, if not, drop bola shot. Why? Because you already have a hatred generator, and you have good crowd control in the form of slowing (entangling shot), stunning (impale), and aoe (fan of knives and multishot).

You also have a good escape skill (vault), and single target skill (impale).

What you lack is buffs and supports, like a companion, sentry, shadow power, marked for death, or something to help you out while you're using you're main arsenal of skills.

You also spend a lot of hatred in your build, which might be a problem. Having two hatred generators doesn't help since you can only use one at a time anyway, so the rate of hatred generation is roughly the same. So you should drop a hatred spending skill, or find a way to generate more hatred.

Dropped Bola shot for Bat Companion to help with Hatred.

Dropping Impale would just hamper too much in terms of single target damage I think. If I drop Fan of Knives, I might drop Cull the Weak as well

I'd replace tactical advantage with steady aim or something.

Not sure how much extra hatred you'd need. I guess it would depend on your attack speed. But generating 12.5 hatred/second may cover most/all of your hatred needs for multi-shot and knives, so for the odd case you'd use impale you could live without the bat companion and get something more useful in there, like another disc or cooldown skill.

Was thinking of maybe switching around to work sentry in there. The chain of torment + vault and fire combination could be quite interesting. I guess its really hard to tell at this point anyway.
